5.17.14 Don + Brittney

Brittany and Don, what an amazing couple who have an incredible love for each other and for our country.  Both of them serve in our country's military and have sacrificed a great deal to fulfill their commitment.

The initial wedding planning started with Don, while he was in the states working on additional special training and Brittany was serving overseas.  We spent lots of time on the phone and email sharing ideas and plans.  Don is the most organized guy I know and had an amazing amount of patience and determination while working through lots of plans and decisions that the bride would normally make.  Brittany and I shared a lot of photos and ideas via the internet also...so thankful for technology!  She loved the idea of including vintage accents with a very elegant flair, so we composed an all white bouquet with peony, ranunculus, hydrangea, and David Austin Roses with a touch of pearls and crystal brooches. Also, in honor of Brittany's grandfather, we added a special photo to her bouquet. Lastly, touches of navy hues throughout the ceremony and reception were the perfect compliment to the groom and groomsman military uniforms.

I wish Don and Brittany the very best in their future together and God's protection as they serve our country.

1.11.14 Justin + Michelle

A January wedding blessed with some warm Texas sunshine created a perfect setting for an outdoor ceremony. Michelle and Justin were wed at El Rancho Verde in Henderson, Texas overlooking 452 acres of picturesque rolling hills and East Texas pines.

Michelle has a special eye for vintage décor as she added fun rustic elements to both her ceremony and reception and, of course, her choice of flowers was absolutely perfect. Succulents, privet berries, mini calla lilies,  brunia berries, and garden roses were the featured flowers in her bouquet. Chrysanthemums added the pop of rust color to the bridesmaids bouquets. Congrats to this wonderful couple, beautiful inside and out!

10.26.13 Shane + Courtney

What an absolute treat it was to be a part of Shane and Courtney's special day.  This sweet Aggie couple's deep love for each and their ministry with Campus Crusade is apparent and a beautiful example of a Christ-centered marriage. With the colors of autumn as the backdrop, Courtney's selection of purple Haze roses, cream and pink David Austin Roses, white hydrangea, white mini callas, and cymbidium orchids were strikingly beautiful.  Even a rain shower couldn't stop the fun as the wedding party enjoyed dinner on the Centaur Pavillion with umbrellas over their heads.  The evening continued with dancing after dinner, followed by the traditional Aggie War hymn and a sparkling departure.  This wedding was filled with fairy tale kind of moments that still bring a smile to my face.

Hope you enjoy the video and photos that give a glimpse into how perfect their wedding truly was!

by www.VanessaMcKellar.com Courtney and Shane had a fun, personal wedding day that was a joy to capture. We started out at Courtney's vacation ranch house where the ladies got ready, and then we all rode a mile in golf carts to a small lake where the first look took place. The portrait session with these two was a breeze- all we had to do was train our cameras on them while they flirted, laughed, kissed, and dipped, all without our direction. I remember at one point Brent and I were cruising through the colorful woods, with the dappled sun and crisp air on our faces, and I was just so especially in love with my job. After the formals we headed to the church for the beautiful ceremony (check out that purple uplighting on the altar- love it!) But before the ceremony the bride and groom exchanged letters, which you will hear portions of in their highlights here. The reception followed at Centaur Arabian Farms, where we have wanted to film for a long time now. It did not disappoint- the café lights, s'mores bar, fire pit, and beautiful grounds all made for such a cozy atmosphere (which was only enhanced by the deluge of rain.) Courtney and Shane have lived in exotic locales (she lived in China for a while, they got engaged in Thailand) and now they are settling in College Station to work in college ministry. Many blessings on their new life together!
